Check Like An Egyptian

Greetings, today we look at the wonders of Egypt in this article. We explore the mysteries of a land that has given us the Pyramids, British vampires from the Victorian era, and of course Robots. So grab your sun block and water your Camel, it's time to hit that link and punch an annoying little blue kid!

Now Pharaoh Man himself is a early to mid range deck with your deck needing to set up potentially 2 turns then kill on the third or fourth. Going in to the long range is lethal as since we are life we have limited damage reduction, and the majority of your hack abilities are activated on your turn. With 19 health and limited defense options you need to get it done or it's time to entomb the good robot again.

So as you can see from the deck list I've chosen to use life as the primary symbol for this guy. Reason for this is due to the ability to tap into morrigan's pool of resources. This allows me to further debuff checks and we as buff my own with  Eternal Beauty and Hedonist.

Now these two cards well help you live beyond with what you should. In addition to helping you force failing with Pharaoh man and his support, eternal beauty lets you force tap or even fail on either your opponent turn's or your own. Additionally both cards allow you to boost your own checks, which is quite helpful as some of your attacks have a higher cost and it helps them be played later in the string giving you a better chance for them to hit.

Now here we have Pharaoh Salvation and HRK these two in the deck are pretty much interchangeable for your side board and it's pretty much preference. HRK gives you the draw and life gain which is needed if you happen to go second or your opponent tosses out a poke on the first turn. Not only that but there is a chance that certain cards that put things back into the deck will become more relevant due to other masters abilities and it keeps them from doing those effects.  Pharaoh Salvation is straight up an alternate finisher with just two momentum your giving a potential of 16 damage when combined with Pharaoh's ability. On top of that it's a low block with breaker 2 which on it's own is a great block. Again this is merely personal preference. I simply choose Pharaoh, because most of the attack base has Pharaoh in the name.

Now Kersplatt seems like the odd man out in this deck, it does however has it's merits. First off it's a reversal, which when played in this deck can be particular devastating as your opponents checks are hacked while attacking via Pharaoh Man himself. Along with this and his other ability your looking at a 3  high for 6. The reason this is nearly always going to happen is the opponent is not going to be willing to tap additional foundations to pass Pharaoh's E on their own turn so they can continue to the turn. This is doubly worse with Hedonist out as failing checks at any point allows you to boost your next check making it easier to block again should they continue the string after they either block or take the splatt.  And having a plus 1 low block is always a nice block.

So there is a peek into what my first draft of Pharaoh is like, hit those comment boxes and let me know what you think!
