The Master of Magnetism himself!

To round out the week, we have one of my favorite characters from the set, the Master of Magnetism!

(Totally the same guy)

Ah if only.  Instead, we have the other Master of Magnetism, Magnet Man, who's just as awesome to play as.

Here's the real Magnet Man for everyone.

(Still got the red theme, just less purple)

My first 7 hand size article.  Feels good to play one of these guys again.  At 7 HS, you can build a deck that can be a lot more aggressive, and it doesn't hurt as much to hold on to cards like Templar in your hand for multiple turns.  His enhance, like Snake Man yesterday, is really good with multiples.  The R is also really good and bringing down their defenses, and works well with stun, but that's not the focus of our deck today.

I built him off of All for a few reason.  First off, All is the best at momentum generation right now.  It has Motivation, which works amazingly well if you've got a bunch of ranged attacks, Living with Determination, and Hurricane Upper, my favorite attack out of all of King of Fighters.

The foundations in this deck are pretty straightforward.  Most of them are either pieces to set up (momentum generation, card draw, etc)  With the strong tech piece being Magnet Man's overall probably best card.

(Someone alter mine to have Magneto on it please)

This card.  I heard from friends who got to play in our prerelease how great it was.  Free damage pump is free, and is just icing on the cake.  The response though is incredibly strong.  Everyone hates Templar.  Everyone is going to hate Leaf Shield.  This card makes it so they can't block with them at all on your highs and lows.  This card actually gets a lot better not in this deck, because i'm playing into this theme and running all three zones.

My attack lineup is actually partially inspired by my friends Elecman deck from a few months back.  We did the math and testing for the correct number of attacks to have on each zone to set up a full set of zones as best as possible.  This lacks moon comes over the mountain because its no longer legal (hooray!) but makes up for it with a few ways to cheat.

(My favorite Magnet Man card is disguised as a Ring man card!)

Ring Boomerang is one of my favorite attacks in the set (my other is also in this deck).  All your attacks are ranged, so the combo is always going to happen.  At its worst, you can combo to add damage and draw to replace itself.  At best you have a high before it, multiple, and you have a 4 mid and 4 low for 7 damage after his enhances.  The basic goal of the deck is to go high, low, hurricane upper, or high, this card, or mid, high, Ice Slasher.

The assets are in there for testing which is better, as I've yet to actually get to test this deck.  And Templar is Templar, though we had a discussion the other night about this card.  With Master of Magnetism and everyone hyping over Short Fuse, for at least air decks, could Dodge actually be a better card?  We've had one player wrecking with it all week, and look forward to reviewing a deck with it soon.

Have fun playing Mega Man this weekend folks.  I'm off to Poughkeepsie to finally go play some Mega Man draft!
