XIII Spoiler!
Aside from Cardfight!! Vanguard I am also known to dabble in
other card games. One such game that is near and dear to me is UFS or Universal
Fighting System brought to us by the good people at Jascogames. And after some
begging and pleading, I've been fortunate enough to get the newest
spoiler! So what are you waiting for?! Click the link, Strap on

So this card is already very near and dear to me as we share one precious thing in common, the name. That's right fighters! The card I'm spoiling today is none other than the King of Muay Thai! The man with the golden Heel! The unstoppable Hurricane! JOE HIGASHI!!!!

Joe is a part of the Fatal Fury or
Hungry Wolves team depending on who you ask. And as such like Andy and Terry he
shares the All Symbol. His other two symbols are Air and Earth, which either
one or both are usually seen on the practitioners of Muay Thai. He comes at us
a 7 Hand size and 20 Health which isn't bad considering he's dropped 22 LBS
since he last entered the King of Fighters Tournament.
His first ability which once again shares similarity to Terry and Andy's theme of removing a card in your opponent's card pool. Once that is achieved he has two effects which trigger. First you may change the zone of the attack to any other zone you please to attempt to deal maximum damage to your opponent. Secondly you may ready a foundation that has not been readied during combat phase. While it is only playable during your attack these are two amazing abilities that are very aggressive at resetting certain parts of your board to keep the pressure up on the opponent.
His second ability is a response and tap ability that lets you draw a card once damage has been dealt. This is also an awesome ability as it does not state your attack, meaning you can draw off your opponents attack. And as we all know, drawing cards on your opponent's turn is always a good thing. Right off the gate I'd build him off either Air or All of either punches or kicks, however this is only with the current support available to us now. There is no telling what this Muay Thai monster will drop on us once he and the rest of his support arrives to us. To make a bad pun off his powers he'll no doubt rock us like hurricane!

What... no mention to reversing and removing possible partial blocks that would've gone to the momentum and then committing to draw a card?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post Alexander. First off, yes I'm aware Joe has those application. However this was only a preview and my main purpose was to make people aware and interested in both the card in UFS in general. The stuff you mentioned will be talked about in the set review.
