Dimension Police a look into the lore

Today we look at the Dimension Police, who have become the official Vanguard clan to those of us here at Total Justice Gaming. But who are they? Where do they come from?  And who leads them? Well today those questions will be answered as we look into the lore of some of the big players in the D-police. So hit the link to stand and draw!

First we are going to look at Warrior of Destiny, Dai. Dai interestingly enough actually no official lore published by the game. So why are we looking at this young hero of Justice? Well Dai here is the embodiment of several long running aspects of Tokusatsu. First and foremost is Dai's phrase of he will protect everyone, which is a statement muttered by nearly every toku hero at one point or another. Secondly his watch, judging from the picture this watch is a either a signal watch often used in super robot shows by boy heroes during the 60's & 70's such as Gigantor or Johnny Sokko. Or possibly it is a henshin device as seen in various sentai over the years.  The scarf blowing in the wind is a clearly an homage to that of Kamen Rider along with his belt buckle which is shines a brilliant green. It's unknown if Dai is the one that summons the great robo Daiyusha to battle of if he's actually the human form of Grander, but either way this boy is going to be a hero...someday.

Wearing a crimson suit, he is a hero of justice who appears out of nowhere. No one knows his true colors except he is a human who underwent reconstructive surgery, which doesn’t help stop the endless rumors that he happens to be a mutant member of the Mazoku. To protect those who suffer his right leg shatters the ambitions of evil doers every day.

So needless to say this guy is based off Kamen Rider.  His origin story mimics rider with a human becoming a cyborg with the help of reconstructive surgery. His costume is nearly identical to that of a rider, though strangely it's missing the henshin belt.  As we can see from the card he's got a Rider Kick, however it is to be noted that he is a vigilante and not officially on the D-police payroll he does have close ties to the organization.

A vigilante squad within the Dimension Police, the Magical Police are chiefly responsible for airspace control. She was formerly an official member of the Dimension Police with a highly respected career, with her specialty being “Arrest Magic”. While her magic is chiefly based on the fundamentals, she’s extremely proficient with her powers, so it has been found that the main reason she fails in her missions is the fact she tends to get distracted.

Well what can I say here, the D-Police are not only equal opportunity employers of justice, but they have their own magical girl division.  So it looks that while Quilt has strong powers and is quite good with them she's the bumbling rookie due to a short attention span. Her power in the game is she lets you draw card when you boost and hit displaying her power, however she somewhat gets distracted and makes you lose a card as a result.

A cyborg heroine who fights to protect the peace of Cray and ever faithful aid to the leader of the Dimension Police. While she’s usually the same size as a human, she can return to her original size by shouting “Super Dimensional Make-Up”. She appears to help Daiyusha when many enemies appear, chasing them across dimensions. Although it’s a smaller sized Super Dimensional Robo with no combining system, she makes up for it by tactically using her speed and her ability to let off a flurry of punches, she boasts being highly able to help aid high space vehicles and arrest many criminals.

One of the main operators at the Dimension Police headquarters, she’s also a girl genius in charge of those connected to system maintenance. She uses a completely spherical computer she designed and built, allowing her to provide support for multiple machines at once. In addition, she is involved in designing general purpose computers and mass-production of various weapons and arms, she designs equipment and systems on the basis of “Moderately powerful and reasonably safe”, and as a result her machines are so popular that the number of people demanding to be testers for prototype machines keeps increasing beyond expectations every time. Combined with her adorable appearance, she’s somewhat of an idol inside the Dimension Police; to the point her name has become synonymous with the word “idol” among personnel.

While we are on the subject of the Ladies of Justice we look at Dailady and Mika. Dailady fights crime both big and small in the literal sense while Mika handles upgrades, maintenance, and R&D for the entire organization. Mika is the one responsible for the big upgrade of turning Daiyusha into Great Daiyusha.

The larval form of the Super Beast, none knows where or when it was born. It has photo-thermal organs inside its body, as the heat is ultimately refined into rays of light. It was discovered by the Dimension Police when they were still a small organization, and attempted to capture it, but communication from the on-site officers immediately ceased after engagement. When the investigation team arrived on the scene, the arresting officers were said to have been wiped out. This strongest spawn ran away, and for the next few years, its whereabouts were unknown. After several years, the mysterious Super Beast reappeared. But this time it towered over even skyscrapers, and it can now turn off its internal body heat regulators, allowing it to fire the super-hot heat ray, “Destroyed Flame” that can evaporate even rock. In every respect, this Super Beast exceeds the power of all other monsters the Dimension Police have fought up to this point. Incapable of being detected by censors, when officers finally reached the scene, they found six towns completely leveled, including a major city. In the wake of this incident, it came to be known by the common public despite the D-polices best efforts. Once again disappearing for a longer time the beast returned, The Super Beast “Zeal”, capable of efficiently absorbing geothermal energy, it can turn the clay of its own body into an ocean of fire. However, as the Dimension Police became a major organization with fighting robots and powerful super-humans joining their ranks, monsters such as Zeal were prevented from being able to invade as they used to do. With the difference in power reversed, the number of monsters slowly dropped. But, both organizations, busy fighting each other, were unable to notice what was really going on. A mysterious organization has been spreading its influence over this nation, sneaking up through Star Gate in ways almost none noticed. Then, at last, the greatest turning point in the history of the Dimension Police finally came. The ultimate form of the Super Beast “Zeal”, who is called the Destroyer of Galaxies due to its incredible power. The shining radiation around its body is said to be theoretically equal to the heat generated at the heart of a sun, and not only can it be generated, but it can be emitted. The Dimension Police, in order to save the nation they’ve been protecting by themselves, along with the monsters they fight being resentful of the mysterious force that had impudently been trying to undercut them, agreed to a temporary truce, and joined forces. Upon hearing its cry “THIS IS OUR PLANET TO DESTROY, AND NO ONE ELSE’S. LEAVE!” most of the monsters who heard the voice of “Zeal” approved of this alliance. As a result, the forces of the Dimension Police were suddenly bolstered. And ultimately managed in repelling the mysterious force that approached the Metropolis...

So the tale of Zeal is a typical monster story, but ends in a truce rather than the beast’s destruction. As someone that actually runs the deck I'll be the first to say Zeal is something not to be messed with. Again the parallel between Zetton and Zeal shows through as there have been many iterations of the strongest Ultra monster so too is the strongest Dimensional Monster has many forms.

Goyusha is a hero from another dimension that along with the other four dimensional robo's form Daiyusha, the leader of the Dimension Police. All the Dimensional Robos are actually sentient fully aware robots with their own purpose, drive, and souls. All the Dimension robots strongest aspects represent a different aspect of Daiyusha. Goyusha is his burning soul of justice and the core of Daiyusha. The arms are composed of the brother and sister units Dailander who represents Daiyusha's resolution and makes rescue her top priority. Meanwhile her brother Daibattles' is Daiyusha's fighting spirit and as a result he rushes in before any of the other robo's and often sustains more damage than is needed or necessary much to Mika's dismay as she does handle their repair and upkeep. Daimariner is Daiyusha's determination. He's normally calm and in times of peaces he's in charge of sea floor salvage and rescue ops, but his determination leads often into stubbornness putting him at odds with the whole team over even the simplest of matters. Finally we have Dai Dragon, who is the calmest of the Dai Robo and the Spock to Goyusha's Kirk. Giving logical assessments and relying on those more than feelings he comes off as cold hearted it, but never the less once stirred to anger the wraith of a dragon comes down on those who are the cause. After a while a greater threat than even that of Zeal appeared. It was then Daiyusha sensing the impending danger not only struck a bargain with the Dimension Police's enemies the Galactic Monsters, but upgraded himself too.  Upgrading every aspect of himself from Armor to energy output, soon even his sword was nothing to compare to what it was before. The Justice Sword once upgraded was said to have no equal and even surpassed the blade of the Dragon Emperor ruler of Dragon Nation.

So that's some of the key players of the Dimension Police, there are many more some with even more outrageous backgrounds than the ones discussed here. But that's for another time.
